According to the Arbitration Law of the people's Republic of China, Shijiazhuang Arbitration Commission (hereinafter referred to as Shizhong) was established by Shijiazhuang Municipal People's government and registered by Hebei Provincial Department of justice on March 3, 1996. Shizhong is an arbitration institution that solves the contract disputes and other property rights disputes between natural persons, legal persons and non legal persons by means of arbitration.

Shi Zhong is composed of experts and scholars with senior experience and high prestige in the fields of law, economy and trade, including the chairman, vice-chairman and members. The Secretariat is responsible for the daily affairs of this Council, with administrative department, general department, business department 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

At present, Shizhong employs 707 arbitrators, including 32 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries. All of them are experts and scholars at home and abroad who are proficient in law and have senior professional standards and good moral conduct in the fields of construction, real estate, economy and trade. Shizhong has always established the arbitration concept of taking party autonomy as the leading role and promoting mediation and reconciliation as the highest level, innovated the arbitration mode, optimized the arbitration service and enhanced the credibility of arbitration, which has made contributions to maintaining economic order, realizing fairness and justice, promoting economic development and promoting social harmony. In 2015, at the first "arbitration credibility" forum and award ceremony to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the arbitration law, sponsored by China University of political science and law and Legal Daily, Shi Zhong won six awards, including pioneering and enterprising Award for credibility, outstanding contribution award, prestigious arbitrator award, and excellent arbitration Secretary Award; in 2016, at the ninth arbitration and justice forum held by China Arbitration Law Research Association, Shi Zhong won six awards, Won the "China Arbitration ranking advanced collective Award". In February 2017, an arbitration award of Shizhong was recognized and implemented by the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada, which caused great repercussions in the arbitration circle; in March 2017, Shizhong, together with Hebei Intellectual Property Office, Shijiazhuang Intellectual Property Office and Shijiazhuang intermediate people's court, jointly applied for and approved the "pilot project of intellectual property dispute arbitration and Mediation" of the State Intellectual Property Office In July 2008, Shizhong was selected as one of the first batch of capacity-building intellectual property arbitration and mediation institutions in China, and it is also the only arbitration institution selected in Hebei Province. In addition, Shizhong is the sponsor of the permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum and xiong'an Arbitration Forum, the executive director of China Arbitration Law Research Association, and the founding executive director of Arbitration Research Institute of China University of political science and law.

Up to now, Shizhong has accepted more than 14000 arbitration cases involving more than 45 billion yuan, covering more than 40 types of domestic and foreign arbitration cases, including construction, real estate, leasing, property, finance, insurance and intellectual property.
